Tea Party Speaker in State Election June 9th
Posted on May 03, 2009 by Alabama Tea Blogger
The April 15th Huntsville Tea Party gave us a chance to hear from local candidates for State Senate and I believe it made a difference in the winner of the Republican Primary. We had the opportunity to hear from both candidates at the Tea Party, but there was something the fired up voters in North Alabama liked about Paul Sanford just a little more. Maybe it the fact he’s not a career politician or maybe that he’s run a successful restaurant, where he has to manage a budget and live on less than he bring in (government has never figured this out). By the way, all of Sanford’s opponents in the Republican primary held a join press conference to endorse Paul in his campaign against Laura Hall (D) in the general election, with takes place June 9th. Paul has definitely benefited from the Tea Party Movement, but with this many concerned and knowledgeable voters paying attention, I think it fair to say he earned it. Good Luck Paul!
