Cartoon of Obamacare: Hard Pill to Swallow

I thought this cartoon was very funny, so I had to share this with everyone.  I just hope the last laugh is not on us.

Top 5 Alabamians to Follow on Twitter

Twitter has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last year, and so has the presence of Alabamians on Twitter.  Of course there are a lot of Alabama and Auburn fans spreading their school spirit in 140 characters or less, but there is also a group of Alabama political tweeple (people who use Twitter).  Since I’m heavily into politics, my top 5 Alabamians to follow on Twitter focuses on those people who use the hash tag #alpolitics frequently.    I didn’t rank them by the number of followers, but rather by the content and the frequency with which they post.  If you feel you should have made the list, leave a comment below with your twitter URL.  I’ll keep you in mind for my next list.

Endorsement of Doug Hoffman, NY-23

doughoffmanThe race for New York District 23 has become a symbol of the expectation conservatives have for their representatives.  Almost every conservative who is willing to stick to their values has endorsed Doug Hoffman from the Conservative Party over the (moderate/liberal) Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava.   Hoffman’s endorsements have come from some real heavyweights from around the country.  Some of them include Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson, and Dick Armey.

Today, I’m glad to say Alabama Tea Party.Net has decided to endorse Doug Hoffman as well.  If you would like to find out more about Doug, visit his website and consider making a donation to his campaign.  This special election will be held next Tuesday.

Many on the Left believed the Tea Party crowds were forming because the Republicans took a significant thrashing in the 2008 elections.  Or that the racist Americans were angry over the election of the first African-American president.  I cannot begin to tell you how wrong those people are. I have talked to numerous people around the state, and most do not care if a candidate belongs to the Republican Party.  People just want a candidate who shares their conservative values.  Doug Hoffman is that candidate.

Regardless of the result next week, the message will be sent.  Conservative Americans have decided to support conservative candidates, and not just support the largest opposition party.

What Can Big Government Healthcare Do for You?

Is there any thing Big Government can’t fix?  I think we all know the answer to that.  A better question is, “Has Big Government ever fixed anything?”  The video below is parody PSA about Big Government and its plans to take over health care. A spoof of Will Ferrell’s ad for MoveOn.org.  Watch them both below.
